  • Seeing Red: The Red Dyes

Natural dyes that make red always have a mystic about them. Spend a day playing with the red dyes: cochineal, lac, brazilwood, and madder. Learn about some other ones, too. Students will learn about the history of these dyes, techniques that will take the mystery from them, and will dye fabric, yarns and fiber so that no matter whether they knit, sew, or spin, there will some new color for their projects.

Supply fee- $25, includes hangout and all supplies.
