Photos of the Marudai Stand

This is the Marudai stand in travel mode.

The bobbins and weights are stored in the carriage and the project threads are captured so that the pattern is undisturbed during travel or storage.

This is the Marudai stand on the short legs.

The extensions to increase the height are shown laying next to Marudai.

Here you can see how the threads are captured for storage and travel.

If you wish to capture the threads when you do not intend to travel, you can use just the top plate and let the bobbins and weight hang.

It may be a little hard to see with this photo, The counter weights (bottom center) to the bobbins are attached to the adjustment ladder. This allows for rapid movement of the counter weights as your braid gets longer. This adjustment ladder holds the braid without having to retie the weights or using a device, like alligator clips or hooks, that may damage the braid.
