Spinning and Weaving at the Carlos Museum this Fall

I am excited, there is going to be this amazing exhibit at the Carlos Museum, "Threads of Time", August 19 - December 17! During this exhibit there will be lots of lectures, workshops, and demonstrations. the Peachtree Handspinners Guild will be demonstrating during the fall on certain Sundays and Wednesdays. During some of those days I will be demonstrating spinning or weaving. On October 22, there will be a Family Day at the museum, outside on the Quad and inside with spinning and hands on activities going on. On November 15, there will be a Homeschool Day with lots of activities, and spinners and weaver will be there.

Also during this amazing exhibit, I will be holding workshops in spinning, dyeing, weaving, embroidery and the making of Molas - a reversed applique technique known in Panama.

I cannot wait to see this amazing exhibit, not only the the amazing work of the people who assembled this collection, but to become a part of it by demonstrating and talking to people about what I like best.
